When can I Stay?

Our full site is open every day, including all public holidays, during our main season between April and October. Times vary by the month so please check before you come. This includes entry to the house by guided tour only, shop, tearoom, toilets, grounds and gardens.
From November to March during our low season, our grounds and gardens remain open every day and our Stables Tearoom on selected days with reduced hours. This is an ideal time to stay if you want peace and quiet. Customers staying in our on-site accommodation have exclusive access to 80acres of beautiful grounds and gardens after we close.

When and where can I stay?

All our accommodation offerings; self catering estate cottages, caravan park and glamping pods, are open all year round including all public holidays and are bookable online here. Camping is not permitted anywhere on our site.

Can I bring my dog(s)?

Yes! We have 2 pet-friendly Glamping pods which can accommodate 1 dog each. Select’Add Pet Charge’ when booking so we know you will be bringing your furry friend
We love four legged friends and welcome dogs on leads across our site (except for inside the house where we only allow assistance dogs), we just ask that you keep your pet on a lead at all times and pick up after them. We have a dedicated dog friendly space in our Stables Tearoom with a dog menu and plenty of water bowls. We also have dog friendly accommodation options.

Do I need to Book in advance?

Yes. We need to ensure your Glamping Pod is freshly made up for you, so you need to book at least 24 hours in advance

What is your cancellation policy?
-
You will receive a full refund (minus any booking fees) or the option to choose an alternative date/activity if you need to cancel or amend for any reason up to 14 days prior to your stay. No refunds will be given after this time, although we may allow you to change the dates of your stay if we are able to sell your original booking
You will receive a full refund if Paxton House needs to cancel your stay due to unforeseen circumstances.
No shows will be charged the full price and no refund offered.

Does the Glamping Pods have WiFi?

No. Tweedbraes Glamping pods are designed to allow you to switch off from the world and escape. Should you wish to connect, we have free WiFi access in our main public areas including our Stables Tearoom, shop and exhibition spaces.

Do I need to pay for car parking?
-
No, there is parking for 1 car outside your Pod. If you are bringing more than 1 car, please park in the main car park. A parking pass can be obtained from the Shop during opening hours

Are there cooking facilities in my Pod?

Yes! There is a fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery and a dishwasher.
If you don’t feel like cooking our Stables Tearoom offers a range of breakfast options, light lunches, cakes and drinks.
