Paxton’s waterwheel project is on target for completion later this year. This photo shows the Scottish Borders community payback team constructing the new access stairway down to the site. The pump and wheel are being restored by specialist engineers JPS in Alloa, and masonry and sluices on site re being reinstated by local builder Steve Richards with help from volunteers.
