£2Evening Wildlife Walk

Heron on the Tweed © Gethin Chamberlain, Go Wild Scotland
Join a evening walk around with the Berwickshire Wildlife Trust around the Paxton estate. Our grounds will have quietened for the day and wildlife should be coming out of hiding. The route will go through the landscaped grounds, looking out for unusual native and escapee plants, down to the river Tweed where otters and even the odd seal have been seen. We will pass through the 18th century landscaping of Robert Robinson as well as wilder areas.
The walk may include rough ground so suitable footwear is required. In the event of hot weather please bring a drink with you. Family friendly, children 8+ years only please and must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a torch, binoculars and wear suitable outdoor clothing. No dogs except assistance dogs allowed.
Meet at the Paxton House car park for 7pm and please be aware that people live on the estate as well as visitors in the attached caravan park.
Booking is essential due to restricted numbers. Suggested donation to the Wildlife Trust £2 per person on the day or in advance.
