Contemplating Nature: Writing Workshop

Mist rises from the river which runs across the image in the centre. In the foreground a tree in full leaf is silhouetted against the pale yellow light of an early sunrise. The sky is blue and scattered with clouds.

Contemplating Nature is an outdoor workshop in the glorious grounds of Paxton House. We’ll be using mindfulness exercises and writing to deepen our awareness of nature. At the end of the morning there’ll be an opportunity to share our writing, but this is completely optional. You don’t need any previous writing experience.

As we will be outside all morning, please dress warmly for comfort. Bring along a stool, portable seat or waterproof rug to sit on, and a notebook, ideally hardback so you can press on it. And a pen! Bring a flask or drink and any refreshments you would like during the morning. At the end of the workshop we can use the Stables Tearoom for coffees or lunches.

If it looks like it is going to be very wet, I will contact you the night before the workshop. It will then be postponed to the following Saturday July 6th.

If you have any queries about the workshop, please get in touch with me: kmtiernan@gmail.com
