Paxton House welcomes film crews and photography shoots. We can offer a range of locations indoors and out with plenty of space for support vehicles and parking.

Interiors
Our pristine authentic Georgian and Regency interiors, including principal rooms and bedrooms, are furnished as they would have been in the 1770s and the 1820s. Our Georgian kitchen is remarkably unchanged and the original horse stalls are retained in our Stables Tearoom. We are an ideal location for period drama or photoshoots with atmosphere.

Our 80 acre grounds offer lawns, formal and informal gardens, woodland, streams, riverside and terraces. The restored Georgian waterwheel, bridge and Victorian boathouse are some of our more unexpected potential locations in the grounds. Whether period or contemporary, there are locations waiting to inspire you at Paxton.

The surrounding countryside has everything to offer from the wild heather hillsides of the Lammermuir Hills and Northumberland National Park to long golden sandy beaches, isolated fishing harbours and dark forbidding cliffs. The immediate neighbourhood offers additional unique locations at the regency Union Chain Bridge, English Heritage’s medieval Norham Castle and the Georgian townscape of Berwick-upon-Tweed

Our Location
We are located in Scotland, just on the border with England, about 5 miles from the fast intercity train connections of Berwick-upon-Tweed. We are approximately an hour by road from the film studios and production companies of Edinburgh in Scotland and from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England.
