There is a bus service into historic Berwick upon Tweed, 4 miles away, from Paxton village year round and from outside Paxton House in the summer months. Berwick upon Tweed offers a range of amenities, options for eating out and a national rail link to Edinburgh, Newcastle and London.
The Chain Bridge Honey Farm has a free visitor centre and a café housed in a double decker bus. An hour’s walk through the Paxton House grounds.
Britain’s earliest suspension bridge, recently restored, is a 40 minute walk through the Paxton House grounds.
