South Lodge
South Lodge is a self catering cottage situated at the entrance gates to Paxton House. Sleeping 2 people, the lodge has a very cosy feel with an open fire in the sitting room at its heart and a spacious double bedroom. There is also a smart kitchen with a small modern dining area. The lodge is pet friendly, has its own private parking and a gravelled garden ideal for watching the sun set across the fields.

The Garden Apartment
Our delightful self-contained suite of rooms in the Regency wing of the main house, puts you right at the heart of Paxton House, while still maintaining your peace and privacy. The entrance is hidden, behind a private front door, down a few steps from the courtyard and the main rooms have views across the putting green and gardens.

The Old Bakery
The Old Bakery at Paxton House is situated in the kitchen wing of the main house. This is a luxury holiday cottage which will sleep 4+. It has a spacious sitting room and kitchen diner, a shared courtyard and access to 80 gardens and grounds. It is a lovely property with great views over the parkland.

What to Do in the area
Ideally situated on the Scottish English border, our holiday cottages are the perfect location for weekend escapes and longer stays. Part of the historic Paxton Estate, guests have access to 80 acres of the gardens and grounds that surround one of Britain’s finest Palladian houses. The cottages also provide an excellent base to explore both the Scottish Borders, North Northumberland National Park and the coast. The area is famed for its castles, beaches, tiny fishing harbours, historic abbeys and the traditional market town of Berwick-upon-Tweed.

There is a bus service into historic Berwick upon Tweed, 4 miles away, from Paxton village year round and from outside Paxton House in the summer months. Berwick upon Tweed offers a range of amenities, options for eating out and a national rail link to Edinburgh, Newcastle and London.
The Chain Bridge Honey Farm has a free visitor centre and a café housed in a double decker bus. An hour’s walk through the Paxton House grounds.
Britain’s earliest suspension bridge, recently restored, is a 40 minute walk through the Paxton House grounds.
