West Bedroom

This bedroom was used by George Home (1735-1820), the third owner of Paxton, in the late 18th and early 19th century. This and the adjoining Charter room are decorated with wallpaper reproduced from the original fragments found on the walls in here. The pattern dates from 1840. It was the oldest of the six wallpapers uncovered in this room during the restoration.
