This room has a double height ceiling and is on the ground floor of the house, connected to it by a ramped walkway into the basement. It was used as the family’s sitting room during WW2 and was restored to its Georgian appearance c.2007. The range, the adjustable spit, and all the furniture except the large original centre table were re-constructed to the original layout of John Adam by a kitchen historian.
