Costume Room

When Paxton House became a museum, this room was adapted into a costume display space to allow the outstanding historic costume collection to be displayed. In 2022, a new exhibition with additional display cases entitled Parallel Lives, World’s Apart, features the unique and exquisite clothing worn by Patrick Home at the Court of King Frederick the Great of Prussia alongside authentic replica clothing representing those connected with enslavement.
