Alcove Bedroom

This room is called the Alcove bedroom because the bed was situated in the alcove to keep it away from draughts. In the 18th century this was a guest bedroom. In the 20th century, it was John and Catherine Home Robertson’s bedroom (the last owners of Paxton House, prior to John giving the House and 80 acres of land to the Nation).
